Introducing Rapid-E+: detecting the full spectrum of bioaerosols

As growing evidence shows that SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes Covid-19) is transmitted through the air via aerosols, the need to monitor them is urgent. The rapid detection of bioaerosols or aerosols containing microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and pollen is essential to develop effective preventive and control strategies to mitigate the risks associated with the current and future outbreaks.

We are thrilled to present to you our latest innovation. It could revolutionize bioaerosol research, helping scientists to better understand and analyze aerosol-containing microorganisms and their modes of transmission, critical to containing the pandemic. Rapid-E+: Intelligent real-time bioaerosol sensing

Rapid-E+ analyzes the full spectrum of bioaerosols down to 0.3 um. Virus aerosol research – bacterial and fungal spore detection, as well as pollen and particulate matter monitoring – is where Rapid-E+ can be applied. Here are its unique futures:

  • 0.3-100 μm single particle detection
  • More sophisticated optical features
  • Unique sampling head
  • Increased sampling rate of the air flow
  • Embedded GPU acceleration to enable on-board artificial intelligence
  • Customized version of UV laser with x4 extended lifetime expectancy
  • Sealed enclosure for indoor and outdoor use

Get benefits from the latest deep learning techniques

Rapid-E+ is the only instrument with integrated intelligence through GPU (graphics processing unit) acceleration. It allows much faster data acquisition, pre-processing, and inference, bringing game-changing performance to aerosol tracking and identification in complex environments.

What would it be like to apply algorithms like GoogleNet or ResNet, commonly used in facial recognition, to identify aerosol particles or to build a complex hierarchical model of multiple classifiers with data filtering and thresholds on probabilities? Rapid-E+ puts all these tools and a lot more at your disposal to achieve new heights in aerobiology and bioaerosol science.
